Trying Something New

 It's been a while since my last update, and I truly apologize for that. Now I am trying something new here; I am starting a blog! The reason is that my previous platform, MailChimp, did not allow my readers to see my previous newsletters. This is especially problematic with discussing my answered prayers if my readers missed my previous emails and have no context for the prayers. Finally, a compelling reason to change to a blogging platform: ease of access via a website address that you can share with your friends and family! I will also be utilizing Twitter and Instagram for more frequent updates, using this blog for monthly newsletters and updates that require more space than Twitter and Instagram will allow. I will post links to Twitter and Instagram below. Note that these are not my personal Twitter and Instagram accounts; they are related only to my ministry.

With that out of the way, let's dive in on what you've missed!

Yes, that is me on the right side in the stylish Star Wars face mask. I still maintain strong relationships with the StoryOne Church in Chiang Mai. Early May, they were faced with a troubling situation involving a believer from Bangkok engaging in unbiblical behavior. They showed grace and love to the erring believer, but ultimately the believer is still unrepentant. Still, I am proud of the way this group handled the situation. We are still praying for the believer to repent and turn back to Jesus.





My pastor blessed my team by coming to Bangkok in order to counsel and minister to us. I am truly blessed to have an amazing man watching my back and advising me through my trip here. Here you see us riding a tuk tuk, a vehicle common in Bangkok for tourists.




Congratulations to my friends for getting married! The woman on the left is my friend from Chiang Mai. The man on the right is my friend from Bangkok. I thank God for putting these two together. I pray that the union of these two fine adults will bring glory to Jesus as they navigate their new marriage together.

Prayer Requests
  • Pray for the unrepentant believer in Bangkok that she will turn back to Jesus.
  • I am currently discipling a believer in Bangkok that is attending university here. He is a strong believer and is eager to learn how to evangelize more effectively. Pray that I can disciple him effectively.
  • Pray for me, as I have less than a year left in my term. Pray I finish my term strong with joy and contentment!

 September has been a busy month for the Great Commission! I'm excited to share with you all that I've witnessed in September. First, we had a soccer competition the first week of August. I coached my own team and we took first place! More importantly, I had a Gospel conversation with at least ten people. A few of them are interested and want to learn more. I plan to continue playing soccer with these men. I believe the next time we will have a competition is next year and I'm looking forward to more Gospel conversations with both the players and the people who come to watch the games. Great news! Our team has started focusing on college ministry. The baptizer in the picture is a second-generation believer and has been taught by his father.
